New Short Stories
Looking back a few blogs
ago I mentioned that I would be asking for photos from friends and family so
that I could create short stories that related to the photo offered. My goal
then was to put them all into one book and make it a single book of short
stories. And I still may do that. But at the moment I’m placing each story, as
it’s written, on Amazon so that each individual story can build some attention
all on its own. Then after they are all complete, maybe then I’ll create a
single short story book, where they can all rest.
So far I have created four
short stories. The first, After The Rain, is now available at the link listed
below. A brief description is as follows.
It had stopped so
abruptly, almost as quickly as it started. A game of Scrabble, a glass of wine,
candlelight, the sound of the wind blowing and the rain on the roof, helps to
make for a wonderfully romantic night for Grant and Perry. Until the thunder crashes
and then all hell breaks loose. Putting more of a strain on this home than the
protective windows can take. After the rain is a short story that teeters the
diversity of relationships in the gay community as well as the many challenges
for any couple. It stems from a man that has a simple dream for his life and
the need to find that one man to help him live it.
The second, Sleep Tight,
was inspired by my mother and also available at the link listed below. A brief
description is as follows.
There are so many things
in this world that are difficult to handle. Moving, losing a job, divorce,
losing a child and of course, losing a parent. Booker works through the
confrontation of losing his parents and the challenges of dealing with his
siblings. Thankfully he has Step to help guide and walk through the experience
with him. What should have been an experience that tested their relationship
only brought the closer together. ‘Sleep tight’ will touch your heart strings
as well as make your sexual sensations surge. Thank you to my mother for all
the wonderful memories and at the very least, this title.
Coming soon will be, The
Gate, a love story about a couple that works all their lives to build the retirement
of their dreams only to find that life doesn’t always turn out the way you
think it should.
Also coming soon will be,
The Pebble And The Cup, a story that shows the growth of one young woman and
her desire to find herself as well as someone to love.
